Staffordshire Hoard inspired hairslide – a bronze hairslide with embossed zoomorphic design and rosewood pin. Design inspired by a gold sword hilt found amongst the Staffordshire Hoard.
Hairslides with a wooden pin require a thicker mass of hair to be effective but once pushed in remain very secure.

Discovered in 2009 the Staffordshire Hoard is the largest hoard of Anglo-Saxon gold and silver metalwork yet found. It consists of over 3,500 items, the hoard was most likely deposited in the 7th century, and contains artefacts probably manufactured during the 6th and 7th centuries
